Holidays and Observances in Sweden
All the Holidays in Sweden information below will give the 2024 Date,
Holiday Name, and Holiday Type.
Ultimately, we will have a Daily Holidays
Page for each of the Days of the Year, and a devoted page for each of
the Holidays and Observances. Pages completed will be linked up below
once they are done.
A De Facto Holiday is the day before an official holiday and can be either treated like an official holiday with a full day off, or a half day off usually in the afternoon.
If a Holiday does not have 2024 after it below, that means that it is observed annually on the same day. Those with 2024 listed after the date, are movable holidays that are observed on different days each year.

Music
Sweden has given the world some great pop bands and singers, such as Abba, The Cardigans, Roxette, Ace of Base.
My daughter Brie, loved Abba, Ace and Base and had every album of theirs. I think I can still remember the words to all the songs because they were played so often! This is All That She Wants from Ace of Base!
I always loved It Must Have Been Love from Roxette. It was featured in the film, Pretty Woman with Richard Gere and Julia Roberts.
